Supplementing Quotes From the Clarification List
When you add clarifications to a bid package, some clarifications may have a dollar impact on a subcontractor’s bid, and some may not. To supplement a phase from a “clarification”, right mouse click in the cell and select the supplement option from the list.
When you add a supplement to a
“clarification” for a subcontractor, you have the option to view that
supplement in the matrix by expanding the detail for the phase that received
that supplement.
If additional supplement amount(s) were added to one or more of a subcontractor's phase bids, the cell will display an up arrow icon. When you hover over the cell, the sum total of all the phase supplements will display. Don't forget, you can optionally use the Notes option to document the reason for supplementing the subcontractor's bid.
If the sum total of all the phase supplements results in a negative value, the cell will display a down arrow icon. When you hover over the cell, the negative amount that was cut from the subcontractor's bid will display. Don't forget, you can optionally use the Notes option to document the reason for supplementing the subcontractor's bid.
If an amount was cut from a subcontractor's bid, the cell will display and down arrow icon. When you hover over the cell, the amount that was cut from the subcontractor's bid will display.
