● Supplementing bids for missing “item scope”

You can add or cut dollars from a subcontractor's phase quote by using the Supplement option on any cell in the matrix which includes a bid for a bid package phase.

To supplement a bid, right mouse click on the bid package phase cell that contains the bid you wish to adjust. This will expand the bid package phase to show all the options for supplementing bids. Next, select the arrow icon next to the phrase “Item Supplements”. This will display a row for each item that was associated with that phase.

For each subcontractor in the matrix, you can then add or subtract dollars to their bid by clicking the “-“ box for the item you want to supplement. Checking the “-“ box will prefill the supplement amount with that items budget, however you can double click in the supplement cell and type in a different value if you choose. You can optionally click the “+” and “-“ box to give you a visual indicator which items were included and which were not included. Generally, clicking the “+” would mean that the item was included and clicking the “-“ would mean the item was not included.

Adding an Additional Supplement

If you would like to add an additional supplement that is not tied to missing item scope you can do that by expanding the phase detail. Expand the supplement options by clicking on the down arrow to the left of phase code / phase description. One of the rows is labeled “Additional Supplements”. Next you can enter the amount of the additional supplement for each subcontractor whose bid you wish to supplement.
