Exporting an “as bid” estimate to Trimble / WinEst

BidMatrix includes an option to create a new Trimble / WinEst “as bid” estimate from BidMatrix.

The following are prerequisites for creating a Trimble / WinEst estimate from BidMatrix:
  1. The BidMatrix Skybridge application must be installed and be active (see Installing Skybridge to learn more about Skybridge)
  2. The BidMatrix estimate being used to create a new Trimble / WinEst estimate was created by first importing a Trimble / WinEst estimate into BidMatrix.

To create a new Trimble / WinEst estimate from BidMatrix select the “Closeout” option on the BidMatrix Summary Sheet toolbar.

After the “Closeout” is complete, a new Trimble / WinEst estimate will be created with the same name as the project name used in BidMatrix.

The new Trimble / WinEst estimate will include the original Trimble / WinEst estimate items, but the pricing and totals for those items will reflect the pricing, totals, and selected subcontractors coming from BidMatrix.

Items that were “self perform” items, meaning they were associated with phases that were not assigned subcontractors in BidMatrix, will reflect the original category costs that were part of the original Sage estimate.
