Disconnect a Category Cost From the Subcontractor Matrix Budget

Disconnect a Category Cost From the Subcontractor Matrix Budget

In a situation where you don't want a category cost for a phase to be part of a bid package matrix, you can "disconnect" the category cost from the subcontractor phase budget. For example, you might wish to disconnect category costs from a phase budget because you want the project bid to use your category budget for that phase.

You can disconnect a category cost for a phase budget both from inside the bid package matrix and also on the Summary Sheet.

To disconnect a category cost from a phase budget from inside a bid package matrix, select a phase and right mouse click in the Cost Category column. Select Disconnect, and then select the cost category you wish to disconnect.

The matrix budget for that phase will be reduced by the amount that was in the budget for that cost category. The cost attributed to the category that was disconnected will still be reflected in the Project Gross Total column. The disconnected amount is also viewable if you turn on the column for that category on the Summary Sheet.
